2 Reasons Makes Me Hate Car Loans in Middle East
I suppose that you are in the beginning of your life and thinking to have a good car, but you probably have no other choice but buy a used one, because it’s a really hard thing to afford enough money to buy a new brand car at this point in life, specially if your salary is between 300 – 500 US Dollars a month and you are living in Egypt.
Well.. this was before, thanks to Loans and friendly Bank Systems in Egypt these days, now.. anyone can buy the decent car no matter he have money or not, all what you need is to do some tricks guided by the Loan Assistance Office in the bank you like to deal with, they will tell you what exactly to do to get your brand new car, which is perfectly from this way but dangerous for your life from the other way, I believe you will not be able to pay the monthly payments to make up your loan safely, or you will have to pay it and forget about another thing needs your attention even your personal needs, then you will be poor looking person trying to take care of your payments when you reach the half of each month.
I will really not like that to happen to me one day, so I preferred to have a nice small used car that I can handle better even with the great headache, trying to keep my self a way from the killing Loans.
I have 2 main reasons that makes me hate car loans, first I don’t like to pay any profits, second I don’t like to pay for long time (5 years), this is too much time.
In Middle East the whole situation is not going with the same way of Technology, I found it very hard to own a new brand car, all cars are scratched and damaged from out side, and suffering from inside, the high traffic in the streets of Egypt hurting the cars and effect the life time of car parts so badly, and you will need to change parts more faster because it will be expired in shorter time than it has to be.
Even Gas process make it worse, I was spending around 300 Egyptian money for Gas every month, but now the prices raised this amount to 400, around 75 US Dollars monthly, and all this just to reach my work everyday!
The Horrible Egyptian Traffic Laws -that I respect so much- doesn’t make since, because how come a man pay all of his salary for just one ticket immediately on the road? He have to carry 1000$ or two in his wallet all the time just in case. I wonder how Government set Laws for a place that can not stand it!
Also I have to mention that all European cars doesn’t match the nature or Middle Eastern roads, the hot weather effect the efficiently of cars, however this is funny but it’s true that sometimes you will have to take some parts out of the engine to make work better :)
All this and much more made me change my mind about having a new brand car by giving my self extra responsibilities that could break my back, and I will do it only if I can afford the whole amount in cash.

I have never owned a brand new car. Quite frankly it seems like a waste of money anyway. If you buy a car in the US, drive it off the lot and around the block, it will be worth as much as 25% less if you tried to sell it back to the dealership. That’s thousands of dollars in worth that are just gone for no reason.
Used is better.
