My personal Experience with American Best Value Inn was a Nightmare

Not all stories are the same, and not Hotels provides the same level of service, I just want to share my thoughts about American best value inn as I spend more than one month at one of their Hotels in Texas, it was the worst Hotel I have ever been, and that was really the worst thing happen to me after arriving to the United States.

I and my wife moved to the States recently, and we decided to stay in a hotel until we find a house to move inn, so after we arrived we started to look for a hotel, we visited a few until we decided to stay at American Best Value Inn, the price was cheap and  fine for us.

Everything seems to be good at the beginning, people treat you like a king, and give you the best they can afford. We didn’t know or how long I will stay there, but I liked the place because they told us everything is new and we are the first to stay in this room after renewing the Hotel from A to Z.

After some time we started to have problems, it was that kind of problems that nobody like to be part of, and never thought this could happen to me while my stay at the Hotel, but I have learned my lessons very well.

No security!

Also, I remember that night when someone opened our room door, using a card key, and I was shocked how come he could open the door! My wife was standing at this moment behind the door talking to me, and the guy hit her with the door in the back or her head, I was on my laptop as usual and when I sow this happening I stand up quickly and told asked loudly what the hell he is doing in my room?! I thought he is a thief or something, but the guy seem to shocked as well, and he start to apologies lots and telling that the Hotel management gave him the card key and send him to this room.! And the guy showed me his card and the room number was written on it, so I told him it’s Ok, just leave now!

It was a big mistake!  I mean what if I killed this guy who entered my room thinking he is a thief or something?

I really hate that, and I was not feeling good at all. I waited for a few minutes thinking that someone from the Hotel management will call me to say sorry, but nobody did. So I give them a call, and I told them all the worst words I know in this life, and I told them that I don’t feel secured here! He had to say sorry for another 2 days!

Fake promises!

Also, we ordered a microwave and fresh, and wait for more than one week to receive it, they was putting us on the waiting list, unfortunately we lost some frozen food we brought thinking the fresh will be in our room by next day. But this didn’t happen that we expected it.

Even the price changed!

At the end of our stay, and I thought they will return our money back as they told us before. We told the Management that we are leaving, then the guy (owner of manager or whatever) started to be lame, and he started to calculate the days and the money, and then he say that he will return only this amount which was not what I expected; he wanted to keep some extra money for him. I decided to forget about it, and I say OK! It’s not weird that he is doing this now; I know the guy is a Dollar Dog!

Anyways, I don’t recommend with American Best Value Inn for anyone, and I am so sorry to write this negative review, but what to do?!

   That is so awful. I am so sorry. If you are not paying $150 a night for a room (and then it’s just okay) you are not sure what you will get. Welcome to America!

   This is an experience that i would not wish upon anyone needless to say you were with your wife i just imagine the fear and disgusting feelings but any way it is over now it is in the past

   @lawmacs, it was a very bad experience and the States was welcoming me by it’s own way :)

   I have learned to lock my doors just in case.

   Thanks for the word on American Best Value Inns. I will keep this review in mind even when I want an inexpensive option for just one night! I’ll never stay there!
