Life.. A choice you can live with

I can say that I don’t like the Arabic web designs or even work on them, as much as English web page designs, I am really disappointed from the way it comes to us tons of websites with bad designs, and very far a way form the Web Standard. Hilaby having the best Arab designs for websites, you can go and check, and probably if you know Arabic will be better because Hilaby is in Arab Language. I am not satisfy about Designs I did too, there were always something missing.
Maybe some of you will wonder why this website don’t show some design and photos, why some website have a great, wonderful page design, and some others don’t have any?
Well.. I think plain pages have much more peace to clear your mind and let you read smoothly with out been annoyed by the design things , flashes, big buttons, and other thing some people embedded them in their websites. So even if I do designs some times, and I started in a crazy way like putting all what you can put in this page, making everything look beautiful, but forgetting the bad effects of overloading the pages with unnecessary objects.

Yes .. I decided to make it plan and quit!
Because we still have Low connections to the internet in the Arab countries.
And be a way from all these heavy websites, Like almost all the Arabic websites, and discussion forums with tons of designs and photos on one page, and very annoying advertisements everywhere, so you got crazy some times and run a way from this page immediately.
I really wanted to tell the Arabic web designers to take care of their design more and try to make it simple as much as they can. Here is this page U only put what is important for my article.
The website looks wonderfull! You rarely see arabic websites that look (and animate/move) that good!

Salaam,
Thanks for the post, i certainty appreciated it.
My only problem so far is having the site updated regularly, and that is due to the number of Arabic good designed sites “using semantic web concepts” are low and hard to find, I’m getting a lot of submitted links “by visitors” and most of them are not even close to the semantic web definition, they are mainly people who designed sites and telling themselves that let’s see if Khalid would upload it!
i know a lot of effort is been made to educate the Arabic internet users and the designers, but seriously how much of them are actuality reading these articles.
Anyway thanks a lot and i would really appreciate if you would lead me to some nice sites.
Khalid

Khalid : you are right , and this is a result of Khalid Hilaby efforts.
Khalid Hilaby : Thank you for passing on my blog Mr. Khalid, and I appreciate the great service you are giving to the Arab Designers and Developers, to show their good websites.
Of course not all people read these kind of articles, because simply people think they don’t need it, until something happen will drive them to read it and use it.
If I found any good Arab websites I will tell you about them.
And thank you again for visiting my page.

hi guys this is the first time i join this page and it is a very interesting articale to read by the way.
Just wanted to mention somthing about Arabic web designers and how I am one of them and I am finding a big problem dealing with them due to the fact they like the page to be full for some reason always asking to cover the gaps, images are low resoloution and too much of it.
plus unfortunatly i can’t have it on my portfolio because it stinks. but i guess its a learning curve

Actually it always depends on the experience and the non-stop learning process. If you are really a good designer, you always see to it that you will learn something new to offer your clients. Read and study stuff to improve your skills and talents.

I agree with you, content always surpasses design. It what should the internet should be. Google is actually one successful proof of this belief.
