Life.. A choice you can live with

Well, Yeah! It make sense for someone lives in Texas near to the boarders to visit Mexico, specially if have a family there in Mexico waiting for your arrival, which means I can get Cheap Mexico Vacations whenever I want! So.. No extra expenses, no Mexico Hotels needed, no travel tours, all what I needed is to fill my car with gas, and maybe buying a few cheap packs of Marlboros from Mexico will cover gas for travel even if it’s not tax free, they only charge you less than $2 dollars taxes, and still cheaper than Texas :)
The best thing happen is that I didn’t even need a travel visa to Mexico; at the boarders they just put a stamp on my passport and gave me the permeation to enter Mexico a big smile.
When we entered Mexico, my wife was driving our jeep, the feeling of the cracked Mexican roads touched my soul and reached my heart, the feeling of being at home came to me, it’s so close to Egypt Cracked streets, I told my wife: Hey.. Let me drive now :)
Monterrey is a very nice city right next to the mountains; you can say it’s a big city if you included the mountains :) but of course Cairo city is much bigger if we are comparing! I love the streets and they way they hang the electricity wires allover on top of everywhere!
I like the colored mini houses, I was staying at one them, it’s not the most comfortable houses in the world specially you have to use the stairs lots if you forgot something up stairs LOL!, but it was a joy!
I have visited Monterrey city, it was a very fast visit, just to take a few picture for this post to show you all how the city looks like, the governor palace looks great, but of course the real joy is the mountains!
Grilled meat is the best thing I eat in Mexico, actually the home food is good and I enjoyed it a lot. I am eating Mexican food for the last 3 years, my wife is really good cooker!
This nice visit was basically to meet family, and it was only two days weekend visit so I am going to plan one good Mexico vacations next time for one week, to visit Monterrey Mountains even though they say it’s dangerous these days, but who cares, I love adventures!
I remember a trip out west in a little Pinto with my family when I was only 8 years old. This brought back some wonderful memories. Thanks.

Always is nice to know what foreigners think about my city, specially when Mexico have such beautiful beaches and archeologic places that Monterrey have not… but here’s a lot of fun stuff to do!.. For the mountains thingy… I don’t recomend you to climb Cerro de la Silla a lot, but better go to Chipinque or La Huasteca parks, Chipinque is great for climb on the mornings, also is fun go with bikes, this one is more a forest kind of mountain… La Huasteca is perfect for go with the family and make a carne asada (grilled meat) there and the mountains have less trees and are perfect for climb. Well… there’s also more things to do, the only thing I have to add, enjoy Monterrey! :)

The architecture of this historic city is interesting. Urban planning also has its charm.
