Life.. A choice you can live with

Do You Have An Online Best Friend?

Best friends some times are important in our lives, but someone like my self used to have lots of friends at once, and can not say that I have one best friend, I would think different about this matter.

In the Middle Eastern and Arab world the best friend concept is more important and suitable for girls more than boys, actually I think it’s a girl’s thing because girls have more problems when it’s about getting a close and trustful friend, it’s getting complicated more. It’s quite different than what boys think, maybe because boys in the Arab countries have more freedom to hangout and have more social activities than what can girls have by the nature of the region and it’s culture.

Anyways.. this is not my main subject, as I want to focus on the social life that we all had through the internet, specially after the changes and development of all kinds of media tools.

All of us now have more friends through the internet sharing the same interests, but maybe it’s difficult to have one friend only because we are talking here about socialism by it’s online meaning, means that you maybe didn’t meet those friends in person, and you don’t know too much about them, so that’s why there is no full trust, which make it quite difficult to have a best friend online.. But why not?

Do you have an online best friend?

If you have one.. pl share a story with us about why you think he/she could be your online best friend, after what point you started to trust and believe of him/her?

And one more important question..
Did the Online Social Development Changed Your Ideas about Best Friend?

Personally.. I can not hold the idea of having one friend and stuck with him all my life specially in this crazy world.

My best friend growing up was my twin sister… and if she wasn’t around – I’d be just like you – throughout my life I always had “groups” of friends and not just one “best friend”.

I do admire those who retain a freindship that started from when they were very young… because if we really think about it, we are friends with those available to us at each given time, and therefore the freind you made at age 10, may not have anything in common with you at age 30! So Kudos to those who work on a long lasting friendship…

As for online best friends – don’t have one, but I do see the beauty of online communities – where you can find like minded people that may not be in your immediate environment… it opens up the amount of people ‘available to you’.

There’s my 2 cents worth… I liked your blog and it provoked my lengthy comment – all your own fault *grin*.

@Bali VillasNo – This is great news then, good luck, and thanks for coming cross my blog!

@ManzNo – Thank you for your inspiring comment, you are right about all what you said.. specially that on the age of 30 it’s very hard to find new friends from the honest kind and find something in common that will make you close friends!
    very good comment!

  4. I think its the best bit of the glorious internet, you can become friends with many people, all with similar interests, i would imagine its hard to form such a mega bond with just one person?

With my experience in the internet, i think online best friend can be lost very easily since there is no physical contact, because of silly subject or a misunderstanding.

When you are online, you never know the other friend mood or thinking at that moment, so you may say something and you want to joke around and be funny and your online friend is not in the mood or had a bad day and things fall down at that moment. So i think if you get a TRUE online friend, the relation should grow out of the internet also.

Thank you for providing your opinion, you remind me to say that the internet way to communicate maybe not perfect at the mean time, because no physical contact, so you really can not know your friend’s mood and all those stuff that you will keep imagining all the time, this will make it difficult even to understand everything he is talking about clearly.

Body language is the most important tool that helps you to understand human actions & reactions better.

your  comment is really inspiring me to write something about that! Thank you so mcuh.

I don’t believe in best friend , not in real or online, my best friend is myself .
sometimes you believe you have a best friend, but that’s what you want to believe, but of course i have friends , and i respect them  the way they are,
as every head is a world, that’s make us different from each other in so many ways and you can never trust as full trust, you best friend have a best friend also on real or online and as far as i know, best friends tell to each other everything, that make all this a chain, and at the end ,all the trust you had in your best friend, will show up from your best friend, friend ,best friend.

Hi to all my friends and i.m sorry i don’t have a best friend .
