Don’t Digg A Page to Mixx

I had a very good discussion regarding to my submissions to Mixx community, actually is was so funny also because everybody was against my submissions, I really was not thinking that I was doing a mistake since I published BabelTalk, if you have a look to posts at BabelTalk you will find that I was submitting links to articles with good stuff from other blogs, then add them to Mixx and Digg, from my point of view I was doing two good things, pushing BabelTalk fast to spread on the internet and drive traffic, and send some visitors for the original blogs through it, the feedbacks was not bad, and everything was going as I planed, even my community friends on BlogCatalog was recommending articles for me to like them back on BabelTalk!

The interesting thing that Mixx community reported me as spammer, which made me not feeling good at beginning, it was a big attack!, but after I rethought about it, I realized that I was really doing a big mistake, because I was not adding a value to the community by submitting BabelTalk posts, I should submit the original articles directly, it was annoying the community so much because they have to make more clicks to open the articles.

Tamar is a member of the community, after she read BabelTalk about page, she told me in the discussion that what I am doing is like submitting a Digg page on Mixx, which is not good!

I got an email from Mixx team last night telling me that the community members reported my submissions as a blogspam, and if they continue receiving reporting they will have no choice but blocking my account.

I have responded to the community and stop submitting BabelTalk links for the mean time until I think again about it, and find a new idea for BabelTalk to add value to it, I really don’t want to miss with it anymore.

I apologize to the Mixx and all community members for this, and many thanks to those who advised me.

Another thing I would like to add which is the value of that discussion I have on Mixx about BabelTalk posts, some of the community members thought it was the greatest page ever on Mixx :) ..well. I think.. it was the only value thing came out from BabelTalk to lead a discussion like that one we have made there, so.. I advice you not to Digg a page to Mix :)

   Thanks for re-thinking things, and I’m very glad you decided to stay mixxing. Sorry everyone got so upset about your posts; if you start submittion good content then people will change their minds about you.

   Try not to take it too personally. I have learned that people like to argue online and say things they would never say in real life. Why did so many people give you a hard time about this anyway?

   Yea .. you are right, and thank you so much for your comment.. to be honest what the community did mad me welling to participate more with mixx, because it changed my way of thinking about how to use it in a good way, actually it’s a very strong community! .. I think people changed their minds already because I accepted the advice and I am working to fix the problem and this helped me to get better voting for my submissions, my votes say it :)

   They gave me hard time because I was annoying them by submitting a link to another link to the article, which made them have to click twice to read the posts, I got some hits through this tech, but I discovered it’s not good way, the right thing is to give some time for http://babeltalk.net to grow smoothly but not pushing it by this way so people could hate it and never come back!
