You are absolutley right. Those of us who do have a bit more knowledge have to remember that many other people feel lost and confused on the internet. Carry on with the good work.

@ Scott Mahler - Also I want to say that we are trying to make things easy for each other and more clear by promoting our ideas and share what we are doing now.

So many people are new to the internet joining everyday, this world is new for them, they know nothing about it, they need some help otherwise they will got lost some how. I meet this kind of people everyday on the internet and try to provide help for them if I have a chance, little help can make difference!

Thank you Scott for commenting, by the way you have a very informative blog.

Very funny! While I do think it's vital to market your blog, that does seem to be a bit much. That being said, grabbing the public's attention is one of the first thing you have to do to get them to listen to you. To each their own, I suppose.

Of course I read it, how come you think I didn’t?

I wanted always to enter the interesting world of communities and get the most out of it by learning as much as I can because I wanted to develop my writing skills as English is not my tongue language. Day after day.. I realized that I must have and own a community and run it in the way that will help me more on setting my goals.

Actually my readers are following me because I am providing them with some interesting discussions & information on my networks and some other stuff maybe you don’t have any idea about that! So how come you can say that the most of them are spammers?

Even on twitter I started to follow friends at beginning then I notice that I got notifications from people who followed me when ever I publish a new post, so what that means to you? Now I follow only who followed me and some others I like their twits.

I really appreciate what you giving to the blogers on your aggregator, but I don’t get too much traffic from what your aggregator passing, and this ends when I am not on the main page, when ever I write something I got from 3 to 15 visits max, which is nothing comparing to other active communities & networks that bring lots of traffic even after publishing with days.

Showing the number of subscribers or followers could be a way to get attention, I respect your opinion but I like to show it.

You use annoying terms like “beg” and I am not begging anybody! Are you taking it personally or what? I thought it will be a funny thing as I take it when I first so this BIG RSS image!

Feed burner is taking one hit and giving another and it’s a good way to get stats of your RSS feeds, I don’t think about it like the way you think.

Anyways.. I thought this could be funny for some, but maybe you lost your sense of humor my friend!

@ Hani Obid - Yes it's humongous, I just thought it will be something funny to share, thank you for your comment!

Did you even read the advices they bundled in that post?
#1: CONTENT IS KING!
Where's your content? Why would people come to read your blog? Why would they want to subscribe? Answer these questions. And it would help you get to what you want.
Second, don't offer full feeds. You want people to COME to you, nut snatch your content and run away before even checking it out. It's similar to what aggregators do. I specifically don't show full content because I want to pass on the traffic to the original creator
Third, there's nothing wrong in showing how many subscribers you have. But at the same time, it doesn't mean ANYTHING! In fact, most of the subscribers you see are actually spammers. Not value readers.
Fourth, don't be too obvious and beg for subscriptions. Provide it as courtesy, as a convenience as a shortcut. Without begging or annoying
Fifth, a bigger RSS button isn't going to help more people check find it. Or subscribe to the obvious! It's THERE, RSS button lights up in browsers when feeds are available. Using things like feed burner isn't necessarily a good thing. In fact, I recommend against it because THEY (Feed burner) steal a hit with every link from you.
My conclusion my friend is that that article you read is complete crap with the exception of "Content is King"... Dude, you know better than trusting a blog with some copy and paste content!
Oh and if you need a bigger RSS button, Photoshop is your friend
