Game.. Fantasy, Reality or What?
How people take second life? as a game or fantasy or reality?

People can do what they can’t never do on real life? Or is a game to practice something they want do in real life?. Reading about it I found this… Second Life ,the virtual World ,where is possible be a person that u can never be. The ability to crate a new business and new markets, in this world is real and profitable. The ONG Messengers of peace, in second life has a way to redirect that flow money even if its a small amount , to help the most neediest.
This has planted in a corner of a crowded area of Second Life, a character shaped like a child waiting, standing next to some boxes. In one of them can be read in English, “helps a child to have a second chance at their first life.”
They said is an action intended to contact directly with young people and seek their collaboration in projects to assist children in developing countries of South America and Africa.”
I read this in a Spanish news.
I still don’t get it. Game ,fantasy ,reality or what?

These type of “second life” games are so popular. So popular that people spend real money to buy virtual things.
Sure, it is a cool concept. You can be anybody you want, but to look deeper, people rather play a game and develop virtual relationships than real ones…
As we become more and more virtual we lose who we are as human beings in my opinion.

To Guru : you are right , I think not just that , we lose our time also, because at the end you will find yourself ,that you had enough of this game , and jump to the next better one.

At my work they have an office specially for secondlife, and have their stuff working and developing on it.
the main purpose from this office is to evaluate connections and communications with people inside secondlife, so if we think about secondlife as a tool to communicate we can do lots.
I agree with you it’s a game, but the thing is you earn inside and can transfer your money from Lenden dollar to for American dollars!! and this is exactly what I mean by bringing whats inside to outside world.
on thing comes to my mind now!! if you read more about it you will find that the greatest companies has their own offices in secondlife also, so… Do you think they are playing?? or just spending money for nothing?

To Hisham :, thanks for you inf. i will read more about it. do you think , i can invest also . if you assure me , they are not playing , and they are earning real money , then i think , i.m in the wrong spot. so basicly , you mean , i should sit also infront of my computer and invest for real,earn real money , and forget about go out to the real world?
I wish , and i dont have doubts about it, they are earning, someone theres has to earn , but for sure , not me,:) anyway . thanks Hisham for your inf.

Some people can not find it in the real life, like real states for example , it’s the best thing to make money inside second life, you buy an island and then rent or resale!! and there is lots of brokers inside secondlife and they are doing fine :)

Maybe, but I prefer the old style. Paper on hand, more safety. I still belong to the real world .where we have to sign a bunch of papers , and save them at home. or in a safe place ,, we never know. Maybe I’m not smart enough like second life people I will never earn millions that easy. :) But I’m also doing fine. Well more than fine. . :) and i like do in real .And i better run now. coz i really have really things to do outside lol. thanks.

I’m guilty of this as well, but sitting down and playing a game for hours and when you get up from your chair, you realize you spent multiple hours just sitting there is disheartening. The older I get (low 20s), I don’t want to look back at my life and say I played a video game where I tried to live a virtual reality.
