Life.. A choice you can live with

Is Anybody going to Give Up Health Insurance?

I was watching today a program about the economic crises in USA, this toke my attention because they asked the audiences about what is the number one cause of the crises?

The audiences agree that the answer is “Health”!

People pay too much for health insurance, and all those people are kind of paying every month an amount of dollars for this insurance, but if they didn’t get sick they don’t feel good, they feel that they are paying for nothing, and they think they lose their money by this way.

People Got insurance because if someone needs a surgery one day, then he will have to pay too much for it, and maybe he can not pay and in this case he will die! So.. that’s why people need medical insurance to get at least 80% to 90% of your medical expenses, and this is in case you have a very good insurance.

But things have changed regarding the economic crises,  and health insurance is getting more expensive  than ever,  this made people change their minds about insurance some how, maybe they didn’t cut it yet!! But they are thinking that it would be a better idea not to pay for medical insurance any more, and just cut it, and try to help your self only when you got sick or need to visit a Doctor, so. Go for it and pay the doctor because you got a service, you will just pay when you got sick and you really need to pay for only what you need, because people think that this is more cheaper!

This was very interesting for me, knowing that the cause number 1 for crises in USA is Health Insurance.

Do you still have a Medical Insurance? If you have one, would you keep paying your Medical Insurance?

I understand people who chose to cut their medical insurance or planning to cut it because of economic crises. But for me, I will not cut it.. because I’ve seen how important it is in my life and in my family. It’s a lot of help in times we need it.

I won’t be able to afford my current insurance for more than 2 years due to it being an old policy with an rapidly increasing premium. I can’t get private insurance due to a health condition. Thank god for this Wisconsin’s high risk insurance, which I’ll be applying for. It isn’t great coverage, but is better than nothing.

  4. Well I am one of the lucky ones. My job pays for our health insurance so all I have to worry about is a $10-$30 co-pay whenever I visit a doctor. However if we ever had to pay for health care I am not sure I would be able to afford the full coverage I have now.

@ Princess Mina – Good for you!

I just want to mention that everybody have to think about if he get sick and need an expensive health care, like when happen if someone need a surgery for example, so it’s not only about paying visits for doctors, but it’s about what kind of treatment a person can get when he need it.

    Thanks for your comment.

Yes, you are right that reason number 1 for crisis is insurance. But it’s your heath and you have to pay for it!! Imagine that you’ll have a surgery and will die if you would not have enough money to pay!! Sounds scary to me
