I just saw this posting, and felt the need to respond.

No one in the Muslim world needs to worry about Obama, and certainly not about Rahm Emanuel.

I’m a Republican who proudly voted for Obama in part, because of his more sophisticated and pragmatic views of the world beyond the US.

Emanuel is a brilliant guy; but above all, a pragmatic politician. These men are not idealogues; and no one should worry that they have a hidden agenda against Muslims.

For those who are suspicious or anxious – give them their chance. I predict you’ll be very pleasantly surprised.

And keep in mind: most Americans (at least everyone I know) are not biased against Muslims. Unfortunately, you sometimes hear a loud, ignorant few – spouting stupidity. But they don’t speak for the majority.
