Translate Foreign Marriage Certificate in Egypt

This article will help foreigners who went through marriage from Egyptians by Family Court, and they need to translate their marriage certificate.

[ad#squar]

I went to the Egyptian ministry of justice and ask them if they provide translation for people who had their marriage certificate from Family Court, and they told me they don’t translate Court certificates, and that I should go to the same Court office I am related to and ask for translation from their office.

That means.. who got his marriage certificate through Family Court should go to the Translate Office related to his Court and ask for translation. And they will help you in a slow motion.. because they told me it will take more than one week, so .. anyone who want to translate his papers will probably wait for more than one week, but I really don’t know for how long time exactly. And this is really upset me and I forgot to ask about the fees, but anyways it will not be too much!!

The translate office for “Ganop Al Qahira” south Cairo Court exist at “Bab El Khalk”. People related to “ Ganop Al Qahira” will understand this address above.

Anyways.. I sent this email to the American Embassy Consultant asking them about what step exactly I need to follow:

Dear Sir,

I am an Egyptian, and I am married with an American woman as I went through marriage issues at the Egyptian Family Court (not at the Office of Marriage of Foreigners), I got my marriage papers from the court, and I have paid all the fees and authenticate the papers from Egyptian ministry of justice and Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affaires, and now my wife has her Egyptian 5 year’s temp resident on her passport.

I read the steps you have published at the American Embassy website. But I am not sure what step exactly I should go now!

My question is:

Should I start translating our marriage papers and get them ready so my wife can apply for an immigrant visa for me? Or there is another step that I should go?

Regards,

I am still waiting for their reply, and I will publish it here. Until that time enjoy my blog and plz update me with any of your experience, it could help someone out there, and if you have emailed the American Embassy about some information and you would like to share it.

I’m intending to marry a foreigner next month, so I’m in need for info about how to do it and what is the procedure, and how long does it take to get the first certified document that states that we’re married, because I don’t have much time.
