Voice Over IP Phone is Forbidden in Egypt

We all know that using phone over IP is forbidden in Egypt regarding the leader communication companies contract with the Egyptian Government that protect telecommunication and internet Leading companies from individuals or small companies . But what about people who are using it in Egypt to get some cash out of this big market?

Nile Online company is one of the most important providers of wholesale and retail Internet services in Egypt, recently I was hearing about some corruption problems inside Nile Online.

Two of the employers was busted by State security last week because of using phone over IP to make outgoing phone calls, and sale this service for their customers, they were renting a private apartment as an office to run this biz.

State security found a big amount of money on their bank accounts, more than 6.000.000 Egyptian money, and calculated that they were making 5.000 dollars daily from outgoing phone calls, their customers was from the students kind, calling to their families all over the world, specially Africans who spreads in Egypt to live and study.

I think this happen in many of companies in both private and public sectors in Egypt. Using bower for personal use, but they were not smart enough to hide this money a way from Government eyes spying on all bank accounts transfers in Egypt.
