Life.. A choice you can live with

What Media said when Obama Bowed to Saudi King on their Meeting for the First Time?

Is it a crime when he respect people? Some people says Obama doesn’t know how to behave presidentially, I say why you are jealous? What’s wrong with that?

Obama showed his respect for all the world, not only Arabs or Muslims, Why then you are against this? Why you don’t relax and rest your mind about it?!

On Monday, Obama pointedly addressed the entire Muslim world when he spoke to the Turkish parliament. Acknowledging that America’s relations with Turkey and other Islamic countries have been strained in recent years, Obama said, “So let me sat this as clearly as I can: The United States is not, and never will be, at war with Islam.” He emphasized his “deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world, including my own country.” He said that rather than focusing only on fighting terrorism his administration would propose specific programs to promote education, health care and economic growth in Muslim countries. Echoing what he told Iranians, he said, “We seek broader engagement based on mutual interest and mutual respect.”

I’m not one for bashing “the media”, but they are so stupid. I don’t care for journalists, especially after having worked at a newspaper. They make up superficial conflicts to fill up space.

I didn’t know there was an issue that he bowed to the Saudi King, that’s news to me! I think Obama has a lot of work ahead of him and at this point, whether people voted for him or not, all we can do is hope that he brings America back to a stable point. I’m glad it’s him and not me fixing the state of The States. But I think he did a fine job on his world tour. :)

And hopefully that stability will help to bring the economy back to a better situation.

  5. It’s better than kissing him and holding his hand like Bush did, now that was creepy.
I think it’s better that he shows respect while trying to wean us off Saudi oil than if he were to act smug but make us rely more on Saudi oil.

i guess that’s normal and should be a non issue since it’s just a gesture of respect because obama is younger in terms of experience and age than the king

@ariff, Thank you for your comment, but I don’t think it’s related to age or anything of that! it’s just about respect!

It has nothing to do about respect. There are international standards of respecting one another and that should be applied equaly to every one. I don’t think Obama would crowl, for example, for the King of Thailand. That is however in their culture. Got the picture?

  9. I think the media is keeping to close of tabs on Obama. I think they should give him some room to breath. Great Article!
