Only God knows how long people have discriminated others because of their culture and their color. In the United States, for example, before people are classified. It’s either you are Black or White. They do not mix up or else there will be trouble. This is because White Americans have always claimed that America is their own land, and nobody must be in their territory.

People live separate ways—all the white people, stay in the same village and go to the same school; same with the black or the African-Americans/ Black Americans. Even at work, if you unfortunately apply for a job at a company owned by a white man, Black Americans are turned down, even how fascinating their credentials are.

However, as the time went by, people changed and embraced the human differences and they respect one another. Equality follows to both men and women.

Women can work as men do, or even established their own company like Donna Vinci, for example. Women have always been effective in any field of work. We see some woman engineer, police woman, and other field of expertise that only men are allowed. We can now see how the world embraces the changes that had happen.

As to date, the biggest achievement the black Americans achieved was when Barack Obama, a half American and half Kenyan, became the 44th President of the United States. He believes that we are all equal; we are all the same in God’s eyes. That each and everyone deserve to be treated as a family; being accepted regardless of your color and what nation you came from.

Pres. Barack Obama and other individuals, who established a name of their own, Donna Vinci and others, proved that everyone is same as any other individual. That in their own ways they can change the lives of others and even the world.

We are created equal, regardless of color, race, gender or language we may be speaking. There is nothing in this world that can stop us from doing what we think is best for us and from what we think is the right thing to do.

This post was originally created back in the late spring of 2008. I had taken the time to drive the 130 miles or so up to Phoenix to attend a very interesting SEO Meet-up group. The topic of the day was "What are some of your favorite internet marketing resources."

 

During the panel discussion someone mentioned that Google results may very dramatically. I thought she was referencing landing at different data centers. This will cause daily fluctuations in the SERP’s (Search Engine Results Pages.)  I found the information shared in the original post to be so important that I have shared it on several hundred social media websites. Today, I have added another update about a real life version of this story.

 

The original version was titled ‘You May Not Be Ranking As Well in the Google Results as You Think.” What I discovered is that most people will be ranking higher than they think. I will explain.

If you are a website owner with an interest in internet marketing you may be getting inaccurate Google search results. Google changed how it delivers its search results a few years back. They call this personalized search and it works when only when you are logged into a Google account.

Here is what is occurring with personalized searches. If you are like many marketers and website owners you may be a little bit obsessed with how well that your website or sites are ranking in the Google results.

 

This obsession likely causes you to check your search results daily or multiple times each day. This constant checking isn't a bad thing in and off itself. However, if you start clicking onto any of the websites listed in the results it will alter what you are seeing in its results pages in the future.

 

The results that you are getting may be false and may not be what others are seeing when they use Google. When you are in one of your Google accounts it records your reactions to its results that it delivers. Whatever sites that you click on are recorder as a vote of sorts for that website. So if you are click on your website or your competition it eventually will alter the results that Google provides but only to your account.

 

If you have a habit on clicking onto your own site or the competition when searching from a Google account it will definitely alters the search results that are provided to your account. I was reminded of this fact today. I was checking to see where we were ranking for the search keyword search “Arizona SEO.” We had been ranking in the 10th position.

 

Today, when I checked the results had our site ranking in the number 1 position. My first reaction was wow, that a huge jump from yesterday. Then I glanced up to notice that I was in a Google account. As soon as I logged out the results went back to the number 10 position. This is what I had accepted to see.

 

This can go the other way as well. If you have a habit of clicking on your competitor’s sites while searching it will eventually start ranking them higher than they actually appear to the general public. This is where most of the general public will run into problems with personalized results. They are so used to checking on the competition and this eventually pushes there site down in the search rankings that they are viewing in their Google account.

 

This also unfortunately offers unscrupulous SEO providers a tool to manipulate potential clients so do beware of this. If some one is providing a demonstration of how well they rank or their clients rank, check to see if they are logged into a Google account. If so do ask them to show you their results from outside a Google account. The differences can be amazing. Don’t accept no for an answer here. This really is that important.

 

Just another thing I though that you could use. It is the little things that we have to be aware of that can make a huge difference.

 

The Update: 01/14/2010

 

A few weeks back I had a conversation with a potential client. This mans website covered a very niche keyword phrase related to a specific educational program. He stated that even though there was almost no competition for his market that his site was buried on page two of the SERP’s. This is a very common experience for many and that why they call for my assistance.

 

However, when I searched for his website I discovered that his site was sitting in the fifth position on the first page of the Google search results. The difference here is that he had been using his account to search for his keyword phrase. Then he clicked onto his competitors sites. This caused his site to move down the search results and out of sight and onto the second page of the Google results.

 

He decided that it was OK with being in the 5th position. This insight saved him $650.00 that I would have charged him to review his site and to provide him with link building training.

 

I very easily could have kept quiet and accepted this mans business. Then without doing anything I could have showed improved results but I don't operate that way. Unfortunately, in these tough economic times some will succumb to this temptation.  It really does pay to be cautious when buying internet services. Way too many people are willing to do anything and to tell you anything to make a buck.

 

The lesson here is to go straight to Google to do your keyword rankings searches and do not use your account when doing so. This will give you better and more accurate search results.

 

Update 02/03/2010 Apparently Google has made recent changes and it records all searches as personalized searches unless this feature is turned off. This change is based on what browser that you use. So this really complicates getting accurate results.

 

The solution, for now appears to be the use a separate browser for checking your websites search results. Now, the key here is to then not click on any of the results in that browser. This way you can avoid the effects of personalized searches. Of course, this may change over time! Nothing is easy when it comes to staying on top of what Google is up to. I do this for a living and I can say without doubt that it can indeed be a challenge.

After a stressful day working in the office at last I’ll be having my first vacation this week. I was so excited and very happy because for the first time this week I’ll be having my break and I will spend it with my family and my nephew.

"Are you married?" my dentist in Costa Mesa, a sweet lady, asked.

 

"No, I’m not," I replied.

 

"How come? You’re young, beautiful, and a ‘sight to behold’ as what my son would normally say," she said.

 

I simply smiled and let the question hang in the air. Yes, I’m young, if you could call a 30ish woman still young. At that time, I just had one thought, why hurry to get married? Of course, I would like to meet that special guy who would mean the world to me. But, I don’t want to be in a hurry. I’m feeling the pressure right now, but it doesn’t mean I will jump into the married and committed bandwagon easily.

 

When I went to our high school reunion two months ago, I found out that most of my classmates were already moms. Single moms, married moms, harried moms, pretty moms—most with mouths to feed since they were 18. It’s making me wonder if they are happy with their lives now or feeling remorse for the future they threw away.

 

So, don’t be surprised if I am already 30ish and still uncommitted. I’m not competing with my cousins on the suitors they’ve collected. It’s not the number of suitors I have that will determine my success in the real world. I’m happy with what I have now. I’m not rushing or anything. I’m a firm believer in patience. After all, patience makes the surprises more surprising.

But make sure to take all precautions to ensure that you are getting the dress in the best condition possible, especially if you are buying it online.
