I bet most of you will agree that the last parties of the decade were one of the best ever. Nevertheless, it is still hard to shake off that nasty hangover that bugged you and made you stay at home the day after the festivities. What most of you guys do not know is that there are ways to cure that pounding headche and sluggish feeling in order for you to get stuff done such as finishing custom written essays or doing extra tasks in order to get some brownie points. However, I had to find out for myself which are the ones that work, and the ones that are better left alone.

Here are some of the hangover cures I tried over the years:

  • The “Hair of the Dog” theory – This was the popular remedy for me when I was in my first two years at the university. However, I think it was just another excuse to get drunk again, and get an even bigger hangover. I might as well throw this theory out in the dump. Then again, I have yet to nurse a hangover with a Bloody Mary. Maybe there is hope for this school of thought.

  • The Egg Sandwich – There are people who say that the cysteine in the eggs is the key to nursing a hangover. Although I am not so sure about how it really prevents one, it definitely is a delicious way to cap off one drunken night.

  • 2 Paracetamol tablets – I learned this from a med student that I used to go out with in the West Coast. This one works especially when your head is pounding like hell and you need to get to work or submit custom papers in an hour or two.

  • Loads of Water – Fact: Alcoholic drinks, being the diuretic that they are, can cause dehydration. Restoring lost fluids via good old H2O makes perfect sense.

There are other remedies that I have heard of that I would want to try, but I think I will leave these remedies for the next big bash.
